Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Technical Engineer to join a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The role is 100% onsite.

This position plays a critical role in developing automation solutions, managing system environments, and supporting engineering initiatives across both Linux and Windows platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong technical problem-solver with hands-on experience in scripting, system administration, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Technical Engineer is responsible for building automation scripts, optimizing system environments, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. This role supports multiple engineering projects and requires proficiency in Python, Linux troubleshooting, and automation development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts for system operations and testing processes.
  • Configure, monitor, and optimize Linux and Windows operating environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support technical engineering projects and initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system or application issues to ensure minimal downtime and operational continuity.
  • Document technical processes, prepare reports, and provide guidance or training to team members as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and performance.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Up to 7 years of relevant experience in technical engineering, system administration, or a similar role.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience developing automation scripts for system tasks or testing workflows.
